The HMND 01 Alpha Bipedal is an advanced humanoid robot developed by The Humanoid, engineered for reliable, adaptive, real-world performance. Built from concept to prototype in just five months, the platform achieved stable bipedal walking within 48 hours of assembly, demonstrating rapid development and strong systems integration.
Designed with balanced human-like proportions, the Alpha Bipedal integrates dynamic locomotion, perceptive sensing, and AI-driven control to operate effectively in environments where mobility, adaptability, and interaction are essential. Standing approximately 179 cm tall and weighing around 90 kg, the robot features 29 degrees of freedom and a modular end-effector system that supports either dexterous 12-DOF five-fingered hands or simplified grippers.
Equipped with high-resolution RGB and depth sensors, force and torque sensing, and haptic feedback systems, the platform delivers autonomous, aware, and adaptive behaviour. Its perception and reasoning stack enables multimodal interaction and responsive motion, including straight and curved walking, turning, sidestepping, squatting, and push recovery.
Operationally, the HMND 01 Alpha Bipedal can reach speeds of up to 1.5 m/s, sustain average run times of approximately three hours, and handle payloads of up to 15 kg, making it suitable for industrial, logistics, service, and collaborative human-robot applications.
Combining robust hardware, embodied intelligence, and modular design, the HMND 01 Alpha Bipedal represents a scalable humanoid platform built for real-world deployment.
