Beijing Robot Era Technology Co., Ltd. was established in August 2023, incubated by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences at Tsinghua University. The founder, Chen Jianyu, is a PhD advisor and assistant professor at Tsinghua University, working within the team of Academician Yao Qizhi.
Robot Era develops a full-stack technology for embodied intelligent humanoid robots, enabling stable walking and running on lawns, gravel paths, and snow, with the ability to climb stairs, carry heavy loads, squat, jump, and even lift weights. In May 2024, Robot Era’s humanoid robot climbed the Great Wall, becoming the first humanoid robot in the world to do so.
Currently the company provides humanoids and dexterous hands two products.
