Alt-Bionics ICRA 2025: Bionic Hands with Human Level Sensing

Alt-Bionics’ team and CEO Ryan Saavedra attended the International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) in May of 2025 to showcase their latest innovations in the dexterous hand space. Shown in this video is the Alt-Bionics Surge Hand outfitted with high-resolution tactile sensors, being teleoperatively controlled with Manus’ Quantum Teleoperation Gloves.

On the right side of the screen, when the ball is transferred to the right hand (anatomical left), you’ll notice there are digital twins of the hand’s fingertips on the laptop’s screen that show both the location and the amount of pressure being applied to the fingertips by the ball.
