Meet XBot-L, the first humanoid robot to climb the Great Wall

As the famous saying goes, “You are not a true hero until you’ve climbed the Great Wall.” Robot Era’s full-sized humanoid robot, XBot-L, recently put that sentiment to the test, successfully navigating sections of the Great Wall.

This impressive demonstration highlighted the robot’s advanced locomotion, dexterity, and self-balancing abilities. Outfitted with the latest upgrades, including perceptive reinforcement learning algorithms, XBot-L showed a remarkable capacity to tackle rugged, uneven terrain, climb winding staircases with stability, and adapt seamlessly to various environments, including the dimly lit archways of the Great Wall.
