Surge Hand Demo | Manus Teleoperation

In this video, Alt-Bionics showcases Surge, a 6 Degree-of-Freedom (DoF) robotic hand.

Surge is being controlled in real time using MANUS Quantum teleoperation gloves. This teleoperation capability is critical for imitation learning (human-in-the-loop training) and high-stakes scenarios such as bomb disposal, disaster response, remote surgery (eventually), and operating in environments too dangerous or inaccessible for humans. Even in fully autonomous systems, teleoperation remains essential as a fallback, allowing a human operator to step in during edge cases, unexpected events, or situations requiring nuanced judgment.
